Oh wow… so I did the Insanity workout.. and then I while I was literally dripping sweat, I decided I should go on a short jog. I went about 1.2 miles and did not jog once…. I was very tired. But I enjoyed the day!

Today I was a bit enthusiastic. I started the Insanity workout again. I am so sore! I for some reason decided that I still needed to go on a jog. I only went a mile, but it felt good. I am hoping to keep up the jogging with the Insanity program.

My friend Natosha and I went on a little desert walk adventure today. She had seen some boulders she wanted to go bouldering on on a recent horseback ride, so we set out today to find them. On the way we found this rock formation called “Robber’s Roost”. It’s some historical place where the robbers that would steal passerby’s gold would hide out.  There was a tattered old sign there as well. 
It was really fun! We are going to try to go every week. I was so tired when I got back, and I am already sore. 
I do believe that I am getting fitter!

So, I was not really feeling a run today either, but did make myself go for a walk. The original plan was to walk the entire route I usually try to jog so that I could have a base number (and lets be honest, I was rationalizing). 
I get about halfway to my turnaround mile marker and I start to see these vans with race team names. I go a little farther and see more vans… this seems strange… then the runners start to pass me. YEP.. my jog route had been turned into a part of the local marathon track. Which is really awkward and embarrassing when you are walking. 
Needless to say I decided I could turn around and walk back on the other side of the road.

A lovely jog today. Not as great for my jog/walk ratio, but it still felt good to be out. 3 miles done!!

Went on the first run in way TOO LONG today.. well yesterday technically at this point. It was actually a great run. I ran for more than half the time (even if only by minutes) and it just felt really good to be out again. The picture of me was post run.. see how happy and loving it I am? The picture of the peak in the distance is a peak called “Vulture Peak”. Apparently, when the vultures migrate through here they like to hang out there. And here I was not even aware they were a migrating bird.
